The Good Life

"Never permit a dichotomy to rule your life, a dichotomy in which you hate what you do so you can have pleasure in your spare time"

This quote really means a lot to me it keeps making me keep on going with life and with my future. I learn that The good life we all want is found at the intersection of science, knowledge, philosophy, and wisdom. The easiest place for you to find the "good life" is in this combination.

I recently started reading a new book " The element how to find your passion in life" Really good book I'm currently in chapter 4
I'll be updating 3 new things that I'll learn at the end of the book.

Chapter # 9

The Cingulate Gyrus-  this is the part of the brain where you get all the attention, ideas, options in   life,  grudges, feelings and safety.

"18/40/60 RULE"

18- you care about what people think about you.
40- you don't give a dam what people think about you.
60- Nobody is thinking about you.

Every day my interest of learning and reading a book grows my goal is to read at least one book every 3 days and I wont stop until I accomplished.

Chapter #5

Today is my second day reading a book after a long time, the last time I read a book was probably when I was a junior in high school. As I keep reading this book I get more and more into it, I learn new words and meanings of the brain.

Tryptophan- is relatively small amino acid enter the brain changing the mood.

Basal Ganglia-  Thats where your feelings are, thoughts, and movement. The Ganglia is where you can feel fear thats when ever you scared you freeze for a couple of seconds and dont know what to do, you get IMMOBILE.
- It is also around the Limbic system.

One other fact that I learn today was always breath with your belly in order to get more oxygen on your body.

How to relax

Focus  (Focus on a spot) Breathe ( 3 slow deep breaths from belly to chest) Relax  ( Progressive muscle relaxation) Down ( Ride down the escalator count to 20 backwards!) UP  ( Ride up the escalator count to 10 open your eyes)
